Concert Rescheduled

Due to a scheduling conflict, the Encounter at the Well Concert is being rescheduled. I'll make sure to post the new date as soon as it is finalized.
As an update, we recorded a new song last week. It's a P&W song called "Be Glorified." It's upbeat and should be fun. Thank you to Danielle, Ariel and Darnell for helping with the background vocals.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE ENCOURAGEMENT & SUPPORT YOU ALL HAVE BEEN GIVING!

This is Who I Am

Here's a video of me singing "This is Who I Am" at Jamfest 2008, where I was a featured artist. I wrote and recorded "This is Who I Am" this year and it will be on the album. Yes, that pretty girl with the curly hair and the heels is me!

In The Studio

I spend every Monday in the studio (thank God for Kelvin and In The Zone Productions) recording the songs for the album. Since I work full time, I have to go to the studio after work around 7pm. Sometimes that makes for really late nights.

Here are some pictures of me, Marc (my Musical Director), Kelvin (studio owner & musician) and DeVon (producer & musician) in the studio:

To Friends & Family

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope that this letter (or email) finds you doing well. Its contents are very important to me and I thank you in advance for taking the time to read it.

As many of you know, I was raised in the church and am surrounded by people who love the Lord. So I am no stranger to Jeremiah 29:11, which says “For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” (NIV) In the past few years, I’ve come to believe and know that God has a specific calling and plan for my life.

I believe that part of my calling is to lead people into worship. Furthermore, I believe God is calling me to bridge cultural gaps and show the world that even though we all look different, there is one God who wants our worship. My vision is to use my music to bring people of different races, backgrounds, ages and musical preferences together to worship God and encounter the love of Jesus.

As a step into seeing that vision come to life, I will be releasing my first album in October of this year. The album is entitled “Encounter at the Well” and will explore themes from the John 4 account of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well.

There are 2 things that I am in need of to make this project happen:

1) Prayer, prayer, prayer and more prayer. I’ll need prayer for wisdom and wise counsel as I’ve never done this before, for finances, for using time wisely as this is all happening fairly quickly and for my physical strength as this takes a lot of time and energy and I am still working full time and have church commitments.

2) Finances: I fully intend to pay for all studio time, for my backup vocalists, for my band and other development expenses. I’m projecting a need of about $10,000 to make all of this happen.

If you’d like to pray for me, please do that as often as you think is appropriate. I will take all the prayer I can get.

If you’d like to give financially, you can do so through Paypal by clicking on the DONATE button here on the site and giving as little or as much as you would like. This site will also have updates on the progress of the album and even samples of some of the songs that I’m working on. This way, you can see where your money is going. If you don’t have access to the internet or cannot give through the site for any reason, please contact me at (310) 926-2545 or dmuldrow@gmail.com and we can figure out an alternative method of giving.

I plan to release the album in October with an album release concert here in Southern California. The date of the concert is Saturday, October 18th and details about the concert will soon be found here on the site. You are all more than welcome to attend this event.

Again, thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. I’m excited to see where God is going to take me.

Love,
Dionna Muldrow
