Hey All,
I'll be back in the studio on Monday recording the title track to the album. Encounter at the Well (the song) was written by Tonee Sherrill. It's an awesomazing (yeah, I said it) and powerful song that tells of the John 4 account of Jesus and the woman at the well. I can't wait to record it! I'm so grateful to Tonee for writing it for me and continuing to be excited w/ me. Actually, I think he may be more excited than I am at times...lol
I'm also excited to record Meet My Lord written by The Wonderful Kelvin Truitt. Can I just say that if you need somebody in your corner, Kelvin is an awesome person to have. I can honestly say that I've never met anybody like him. Anyways, that was off topic. Meet My Lord is basically a depiction of what the woman at the well did after she had her encounter w/ Jesus - she went and told people about Him. She was excited to introduce everyone to her Lord. What a great example for all of us!
Now that I have these new video/audio editing skills, I'll post a snippet of the song as soon as I can.
Love ya,
Di

Success!
Oh my gosh! I've been trying to post this video for weeks (literally). Apparently, God will make a way when there seems to be no way...lol. I had to cut a significant portion of the video off so that it would upload, but you'll get the gist of the song.

I tried to put up a video!
I've been trying for a good 2 weeks now to post a video of me singing "You Are My God" with the CSUN Gospel Choir. Unfortunately, the file is too big and won't upload. That's very LAME!
Good news, though! HOPE's House has occupied our building. I will be re-evaluating my timeline to come up w/ a new release date and concert date for Encounter at the Well. Right now I'm thinking July, but I will verify as soon as I can.
Thanks for checking in!

CSUN Gospel Choir Concert
Hey All,
Anyone is welcome to attend! Should be a great night. Great music and worship.
I'll be singing "You Are My God." It's a song that most people haven't heard yet. So I'm excited to introduce something new.
I'll try to get a video of it.
The album is still coming along. The goal is to release it in the first quarter of 2009. I promise you all that there will be some awesome worship music on the album. I'm working w/ so many annointed musicians and song writers and producers.
I'm so blessed to know so many talented people!
Thank you all for your prayers and support. Please don't stop!

UPDATE: Officially Postponing Concert
Hey All,
I am officially postponing my album release concert so that I can have the concert at the new home of of HOPE's House Christian Ministries in Granada Hills! God is awesome and has provided us with a building. I'd like to celebrate this album at home w/ my Christian community. So I'm going to hold off on having the concert until after we are in the building. I will announce a new date once I know more.
In the meantime, I'm still in the studio. In the Zone Productions also has a new home in Granada Hills. Yay for not having to drive out to Montebello anymore. Things are moving along w/ the recording. I'm grateful to have more time to correct mistakes and make songs the way that I'd like them to sound.
I'm teaching a new song next week to the CSUN Gospel Choir! I'm very excited about the opportunity to share a new song. "This is Who I Am" seems to have been able to touch more hearts than I ever expected and it hasn't even been officially released yet. So I hope this new song blesses people equally, if not more. I'll post a sample of it soon.

Concert Rescheduled
Due to a scheduling conflict, the Encounter at the Well Concert is being rescheduled. I'll make sure to post the new date as soon as it is finalized.
As an update, we recorded a new song last week. It's a P&W song called "Be Glorified." It's upbeat and should be fun. Thank you to Danielle, Ariel and Darnell for helping with the background vocals.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE ENCOURAGEMENT & SUPPORT YOU ALL HAVE BEEN GIVING!

This is Who I Am
Here's a video of me singing "This is Who I Am" at Jamfest 2008, where I was a featured artist. I wrote and recorded "This is Who I Am" this year and it will be on the album. Yes, that pretty girl with the curly hair and the heels is me!
